Mindfulness Meditation is a way to quiet and calm the mind by paying nonjudgmental attention to your moment-to-moment experience. It helps restore and maintain a sense of personal balance and develop the skills to avoid emotional and physical depletion. This is important both for coping with stress-related illness as well as physical or professional burnout. Clinical studies consistently show that practicing mindfulness reduces symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and other conditions. It is even correlated with a stronger and healthier brain.

In this workshop we will introduce mindfulness techniques and tools that can be used every day to restore all aspects of ourselves, including body, mind, and heart. Lecture, mindfulness meditation, gentle movement, and group discussion. No previous meditation experience required.
